Q. What does 15:1:3 on the fertilizer mean?
A.15:1:3 is the ratio of nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium in the Nature's Touch lawn fertilizer. It contains 15% nitrogen, 1% phosphorous and 3% potassium. Nitrogen is necessary for the "greening" of grass. Nature's Touch contains both a quick-release and a slow-release nitrogen formulation. With this hybrid formulation, you can expect your grass to gree within one week and it should last approximately eight weeks. Slow-release nitrogren also prevents burning and feeds the soil. Phosphorous promotes root growth and potassium, also known as potash, encourages root development and helps prevent disease. Plus, it reduces the wear and stress on the turf.
